The members of the band would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their fantastic support over the 10 years the band have been going.
It’s hard to believe that Gary “Chopper” Humber’s idea to create a band playing popular songs that people love as opposed to most other bands formula of playing songs the band member’s favourite songs has had such amazing success but it did. We have always tried to put on a show rather than just turn up and play which has also been part of the success.
Believe it or not, over the years 5 drummers have been involved, 3 guitarists, 2 singers and 1 bassist whilst in the background Gaz has worked his nuts off driving the van, lugging the gear in and out, operating the sound and lights and all the while still taking photos and fetching beers! In the early days we had Brett the one-handed roadie who’s phone was permanently in his other hand texting and a couple of other folks who helped out when we were short. Thanks must also go out to Lesley for taking 10,000 photos at every gig, to Glyn Smith who took some fab photos on a few occasions. We even had the now famous live band photographer Pete Key at one of our gigs taking photos.

As the adage goes, all good things must come to an end as such we’ve decided it’s time to turn off the oven at Mrs. Miggins’ Pie Shoppe, stuff our faces with the remaining pies, and as Swad’s answer to Donald Trump - Knocker would say “unplug yer plugs, wind yer leads up, chuck em in the van, sod off home”. By mutual agreement we’ve decided to call it a day.
The members of the band would like to say a massive thank you to the amazing venues who work so hard to keep music live and their business afloat for having us, to the people who booked the band for private parties letting us enjoy their celebrations, to all the beautiful brides and their grooms who chose us for their special days but most of all for the brilliant support to everyone who came to our gigs and followed the band.
What can we say? It’s been a blast.
We have a handful of gigs left before we finish and we want to see as many of you as possible there:
The Springfield - Swadlincote November 24th 2018
The Greyhound - Swadlincote December 8th 2018
The Roebuck – Burton December 9th 2018
The Edgefold Club – Matlock January 26th 2019
We will be arranging one final gig early next year, hopefully in Willington where it all started all those years ago.
Love & Peace!
